Little Entertainer

It's safe to say Jack is making the most of his larger than usual adoring audience this week. Tonight while having ice cream, Jack waved his hands in fists in front of his chest like he was shivering when we asked if it was cold. Grandmama Lisa, Aunt Sarah, Erin and I laughed hysterically, so of course Jack did it repeatedly until we were all in tears from laughing so hard.

Jack seemed quite pleased with his ability to get us laughing and would look around the table at each of us to make sure we were reacting appropriately to his entertainment.

Hitting the Beach with Family

Jack and I are very lucky to have family visiting this week while Kevin is out of town. Jack's grandmama Lisa, who he's started calling "Sasa", his great aunt Sarah and cousin Erin arrived late Friday night and will be hanging out with us all week.
Today we went to Henderson Beach State Park in Destin and had an great time. There was a red flag waving today, which means high hazard due to rough conditions such as strong surf and or currents. Turns out Tropical Storm Edouard was kicking up in the gulf and it made for some really big waves. I'm not naming names, but more than one of us was knocked on our butts and we might have, on occasion, flashed the beach while losing bathing suit top or bottom.

Jack was very busy on the beach today filling his watering can and pouring it into his sand creation over and over and over. And over again."Sasa" helped Jack fill his can on multiple occasions.Jack also had fun playing in the ocean with all of us, including Aunt Sarah.
After playing hard all morning, Jack went "night-night" like his Aunt Sarah who was actually just enjoying the beautiful sunshine. We are looking forward to lots more fun with everyone this week.

Care Package

Lucky little Jack received an awesome care package from Memere and Papa Lou the other day. He got an awesome Elmo sticker book.

The package also contained new CARS! Memere and Papa Lou even found the most adorable Cars pajamas and the best set of underwear and matching tank top ever for when Jack is a little older. He loved his new big car so much he took it to bed with him. Thanks for the goodies, Memere and Papa Lou!

Jack's First Year

As we've begun to prepare for Baby Girl, we've been feeling a little nostalgic about when Jack was a little baby. I made this little "scrapblog" of Jack's first year. Hope you enjoy this little trip down memory lane.

(It's a bit finicky so try back later if it doesn't work or takes too long to load.)

Congratulations Felsen Family!

Jenny, Michael and Jack Felsen welcomed Luke to their family on Tuesday morning in Trier, Germany. He's looks so sweet and we know he and his big brother Jack will have lots of fun in the years to come. We hope to meet Luke soon!

Formal Portraits

Instead of getting Jack's portrait taken at 18 months we opted to do some family photos on the beach (a few are in the blog header). But, an Olan Mills studio just opened in the local K-Mart - fancy Niceville, Florida - and they are offering an awesome deal that we couldn't resist so we took Jack yesterday to have his pictures taken.

Jack was such a great sport. He was totally happy, posed like he was asked and smiled nice and big. The pictures turned out really great and they are online for you to check out.

Follow this link to the Olan Mills website and enter the order number (2719-13287-6) and our last name. Hope you like them.

Oh, and if you're wondering, we could only pick one pose for the package and we picked number 6, the picture of Jack sitting on the blue chair. Too cute!
