Giggles in the Bath
Jack was in a great mood during bath time tonight. For some reason, he thought it was hysterical when I dunked the Bath Time Elmo doll in his cup of water. I hope the videos make you giggle, too.

Big Boy Hair
We know everyone is upset about Jack's short hair. Trust us, we are sad about the loss of the curls, too. Now we will just patiently wait for them to grow back. In the meantime, here's another picture of Jack with his short, short hair.
Every night before we go to bed, Kevin and I sneak into Jack's room to peek at him while he's sleeping. We couldn't help but laugh (and take a picture) at how we found him last night.

Short Hair Gang
We noticed during swim lessons that Jack's hair was quite long, which makes sense seeing as his last (and only) haircut was months ago. His hair would hang in his eyes every time his little head popped out of the water. So last night we headed for a trim at the one and only SuperCuts. Armed with a lollipop and an animal robe, Jack was ready for his cut. We told the stylist we wanted his hair shorter, but long enough to still have curls.

I said I didn't want a big boy hair cut, but I fear that is exactly what we got! He's so darn cute, though, that he can pull it off.

Swim Lesson Graduation
After this morning's final swim lesson, Myrna presented each of the children with a "swim star" to recognize their graduation from the class. It was too adorable. Kevin was able to make it to watch today's class and witness Jack's first graduation (of many).
Saying "hi" when Kevin arrived.

Getting his star from Myrna. He seriously had a huge grin on his face. It was very sweet.

Celebrating with "dada".

I don't know what we're going to blog about now that swim lessons are over! Keep checking back to find out what the heck else we do to keep busy. And, if you're a sucker for the lessons stories and pictures, don't fear. Jack starts "mommy and me" gymnastics and another weekly swim class with Kevin in a few weeks.

"Learn to Survive" - Swim Lessons
So Myrna, Jack's swim teacher, got all gung-ho on us and today's lesson was all about teaching the kids to "learn to survive" in a realistic situation. Jack went into the water fully clothed, we tested Jack's life jacket by dropping him in the water off the diving board and he also went off the board to practice floating and getting to the side of the pool. I didn't get any pictures, but I have several awesome videos from today.
This is Jack floating with Myrna and then rolling over to get to the wall.
Jack floats by himself for a couple seconds!
Here's some craziness. Jack goes off the diving board, Myrna helps him to the side of the pool and Jack pulls himself up.

Monday Afternoon with Dad
When Jack woke from his nap on Monday (a long, glorious 3 hour nap - his usual lately!) he was thrilled to find "dada" home from Texas. Jack got some entertainment when Kevin mowed the lawn; he was totally thrilled to watch "dada" work. Please admire Jack's awesome case of bed head.
Jack got a little distracted by the garden in the backyard and picked a "ball" from the cherry tomato plant.
After a nice dinner in Destin, we hit Destin Commons so Jack could play on the playground and Kate could get some ice cream (for the baby, of course).
Turns out Jack was in the mood for ice cream, too.
