Some random pictures from the past couple days in Columbus. I don't have good internet access and I apologize that the updates are so sporadic.

Jack Got a HairTRIM
On Saturday morning I took advantage of being in the big city (I'm visiting my family with the kids in Columbus. Trust me, it is big city compared to Niceville and Sumter!) and took Jack to one of those kid haircut places. Jack did great at his first Cookie Cutter experience.
Doesn't his hair look cute? And, yes, the woman blew it dry. How funny is that?

Three Months Old!
Little Ellie belly is three months old. Well, three months and 4 days technically since I'm behind on the blog.
She is developing the sweetest little personality. Actually, BIG personality. She loves interaction will smile and coo at you for days. She's also started to giggle which is just the best thing you've ever heard.
Hope you enjoy this month's photos.

We're Here!
We made it! We actually arrived in Sumter yesterday afternoon around 2. (Sorry we didn't update sooner!) The apartment is actually pretty nice and much better than we expected. It has three bedrooms, a living room,, little dining area and a decent kitchen. I was also relieved to find a washer and dryer in our unit. The furniture isn't the nicest and the bed will take some getting used to, but we are feeling pretty lucky to be here together.
Jack slept pretty well in his new room and new bed last night. His closet is enormous so we already set up his Thomas "fort" in there. Poor little Ellie has a cold. She is so stuffed up and is having a hard time nursing because of it. But, she spent the first portion of the night in her new room in the crib provided. We brought her bedding from home but her "nursery" is sad compared to her room at home. At least she's too young to know how lame it is.
We'll take some pictures this weekend so you can see how new home for the next 4.5 months. Wish us luck settling in.

Still Truckin'
I think this is why toddlers aren't supposed to watch TV.

Rest Stop Fun
Four hours into the ride and making our first pit stop. Jack has
watched two movies and still exciting about the big trip. Plan is now
to stop in Savannah, GA, for the night. We'll update at the next stop.

On the Road
Watch out, South Cackalackey, here we come!
Jack is very excited about our trip (probably because we told him he
could watch a movie in the car). So, this morning we woke to Jack
saying "My doe tarorina! My doe tarorina!" over and over again. At
least someone's excited.

Taking This Show on the Road
We're packing, packing, packing and doing all the last minute tings we need to leave tomorrow. Yep, we are actually traveling this circus to South Carolina where we'll be for the next 4.5 months.
The blog is going mobile. We'll update from the road.
Wish us luck!

Claire's Birthday Fun
Jack's BFF Claire turned 2 yesterday and they celebrated all day long. Claire's parents picked up Jack in the morning and took the kids to see the Mardi Gras parade on Okaloosa Island. They had a great time and Jack was thrilled to come home with a billion bead necklaces. We're still not sure what he had to do to get all of them.
After a good rest we all went over to Claire's house for presents, pizza and cupcakes. Jack was very good at, um, let's call it helping Claire open her presents. He said "Mine" about all of them and was eager to rip paper, but Claire was a good sport and shared in the fun.
We had a great day yesterday and are going to miss Claire, Lara and Aneel when we go to South Carolina.

Our New Bath Technique
We've been trying to avoid spending hours every night bathing and preparing kids for bed. You'd be surprised how long it takes to bathe, dress, read, brush teeth and cuddle one kid before bed. Double that and you no longer have any adult down time in the evening. I think we've finally figured it out. Baby tub in the big tub = two kids bathed at the same time. Please disregard Jack's dirty M&M dessert face. I promise we thoroughly cleaned him.
Jack likes to help with Ellie. Here is his rubbing her belly. It was seriously successful. BOTH kids were in bed by 8. That's a record.

Tummy Time
Little miss Elizabeth is getting so big. It's hard to believe she's already 2.5 months old. She is pretty strong, too. I have to admit we aren't very diligent about tummy time, but when we do it she doesn't seem to mind it at all. But, when we do get around to being good parents by helping her develop properly, she rolls from her belly to her back after a few minutes of this...
Here's the little chunkster on Super Bowl Sunday. The day we bought her Size 2 diapers for the first time! Can you believe it?
