The Beach and the Train

We already miss Memere and Papa Lou and can't wait to see them again in December. Jack certainly misses playing with them! Here are pictures from two of his favorite moments with his grandparents.

Spa de Memere

Last week we took the plunge and moved Jack's crib from his room to the nursery. He was less than thrilled. In fact, it was a little heartbreaking. He cried and said "mine" over and over again. Jack's Memere was doing her nails at the time and to distract Jack she offered to paint his toe nails. He happily accepted. Jack's toes are still painted. He's secure enough in his little boyhood to rock a little nail polish.

Home Improvements

In our quest to rid the house of all things brass, Kevin and his dad replaced two ceiling fans this week. We have a new shiny dark wood and nickel fan in the living room and a plain white one in the kitchen.

Here's a sneak peek at the freshly painted nursery. Many thanks to Kevin and his dad for all their hard work to make the paint job look awesome.

Back in the Pool

Wednesday morning Memere, Papa Lou and Jack met Kevin and I at the hotel where we had our big night out so we could swim. It's been a couple of weeks since we've been to the pool, but Jack didn't miss a beat and we had a great time.Practicing blowing bubbles.

28 Week Bump

So I'm definitely starting to get to that huge phase. Ugh. I've been having more random aches and pains than I remember with Jack and that's not so fun.

To add insult to injury, yesterday at the lab when getting my blood drawn for the yucky glucose test, the technician said, "Are you having a girl?" "Yes, how'd you guess?" I replied, knowing full well what he meant. He said my belly looked more "spread out" and that he sees lots of pregnant women so he's good as guessing. It was a compliment when people guessed I was having a boy because I looked "all belly" but the reverse is not true. I do not wish to look "spread out" thank you very much. 28 weeks pregnant with Jack.
UPDATE: Last night another freaking person asked if I'm having a girl. I didn't bother to ask that woman why I look like I'm having a girl because I didn't want to hear the answer.
